KOH LANTA -KO LANTA BEACHES-
Klong Dao Beach
This beach boasts a spectacular three kilometre stretch of white sands and shallow clear waters. Klong Dao was the first beach to be developed on Ko Lanta Yai, just over 5 years ago. With its’ breath-taking sunsets and white sand landscape, we can see why.
Excellent, safe swimming makes this the most popular family beach on Ko Lanta, but even in peak season this huge beach never gets crowded, and just a short stroll will find you a patch without neighbours.
Klong Dao Beach offers a wide selection of both up-market and small family-owned resorts with something for all budgets. Twenty of the largest and more up-market resorts, many with air-conditioned bungalows, swimming pools and hot water are dotted along this beach, interspersed with charming, inexpensive Thai-style bungalows.
The northernmost part of this huge beach ends with a dramatic headland called Kaw Kwang (Deer Neck) and sweeps south 3 kilometres to the Sea Gypsy boat-docking area.
